No return calls
Recently my ex-wife moved out of state with my 8-year old daughter, we share custody. While it’s only 70 miles, it has made a vast change in my contact with my daughter. Basically visitation has been limited to my alternating weekend visitation. In May, her telephone was disconnected for a few days for delinquent payment.
Since then, she has not had long distance service. For the last 3 days, I have called at my usual time 7:30 PM only to leave a message on the machine. Since she can not return calls, I have tried again at 8:30 PM only to again get her answering machine. Our Order of Divorce states that if the one parent leaves a message for the child, she is to return the call as soon as she returns. Without telephone service, She does not have that option.
Does anyone have any advice. I expect to contact my attorney on Monday to ask him as well.
