HI-USA has partnered with the award winning documentary travel film “A Map for Saturday” to bring you a chance to win your dream trip around the world. A four hundred word or less essay can send you on a trip around the world.
If you are going abroad in the near future, the HI Travel Center has a series of budget travel workshops scheduled on a variety of topics and destinations to help you with your trip planning. The workshops are geared to help the first time traveler plan and execute a memorable trip. The workshops are held on Saturdays and usually last an hour and a half to two hours. The workshops are open to the public and unless otherwise indicated begin at 11 a.m.
All World Travel 101 Workshops are conducted at the HI Travel Centre, 1434 Second Street in Santa Monica (between Broadway and Santa Monica Blvd.). There is a public parking structure directly across the street from the Travel Center with two hours of free parking. Admission for Hostelling International members is $5 and $10 for non-members.
If you have any questions or to reserve a space please give us a call at 310-393-3413.
On December 26, riders from all over the world will set out on this unique adventure—a six-day, 400-mile bicycle tour through the mountains, deserts, and seacoast around San Diego. Registration is $350 ($325 for HI members) and includes lodging, breakfasts, and dinners.
